The family court meeting was today. BM did show up but she was 110% not medicated. She was not in a psychotic state, but based on what we know of her behavior when she's unwell, it's clear she's getting close again.

She wandered the lobby of the waiting room and gave people her opinion about their cases, saying things like, "Doesn't look good for you. I can tell already." She told DH he looked like shit, kept calling him "dude" and then began some kind of wide arm sun-salutation type movement in the lobby and said to DH, "Let's do yoga, dude."

This post is really long. I’ve thought about not posting it because it’s so long, because who will even read it? But since I think we are about to enter into a serious custody battle, I’m trying to get out as much information as I can now, so you will have some background as I continue to post. I have not posted about my own step-life in years, though I read here almost daily. 

DH and BM had 50/50 physical and legal custody until about 2-3 weeks ago, after BM’s most recent psychotic break.

For what it's worth, DH actually asked me to ask you guys this. I don't know if it can be done, but I also don't have the extensive legal knowledge many of you have. 

DH and BM have 50/50 custody right now. BM has a serious mental illness that tends to be "triggered" in the fall. Three out of the last five years she has been 5150'd and ended up in inpatient care for 2-6 months. She has psychosis, so she sees things, hears voices and behaves very erratically and dangerously as well.
