SD16 Sweet 16
DH wants to plan a sweet 16 for daughter. :sick: He told her to make a list and come up with a theme. She told him she has 25-30 kids, I told him, we will be crossing that list down to like 10-12. She's going to come up with people she says Hi to, I know her. Then DH wants a DJ and a hall, and he wants to do it ASAP, umm, her bday was in December, why all of a sudden is this so important? He wants her to plan it, I said, no way, she has big eyes and we have small pockets. I'm so NOT excited about this. Im sure SD and DH will give a problem when I tell them I am allowing my BK to have a friend there so they arent bored out of there skull. I hope SD knows her mother and her mothers side of the family are not invited. I told SD we should have her party at the same time as our block party, lol. SD wants a child theme, themes must be the new thing I guess. Stupid if you ask me. Hope DH realizes that I still need to have a bday party for my BD, in May, she's turning 9. That am I more excited about

Oh dear, poor you. At least he doesn't want to hold it at your house. I agree with paring it down to 10-12. My DH learned his lesson a couple of years ago, when for SD's 13th birthday he took her and about 9 friends in a minibus to a theme park including an overnight stay. It cost an absolute fortune, and SD behaved badly into the bargain. Never again, I think his thought was. Hopefully that will be your DH's too.
If I were you I would stay home with a bottle of wine, especially if BM is going to be there.

Ugh, now to add matters worse he wants it done the end of April. FML! But, he doesn't find it important enough to come look at a room today after work, so I have to do it with SD, really dude!?!
