Just went into SD16 lair as DH calls it, he room SMELLS so gross, like mold. I told her to open a window, I was in there a split second and walked out with a headache and dizzy. How does a 16 year old girl let her room get so disgusting? She gave me an evil look when I told her to open her windows. I hear her on the phone now with DH, I complained to him, he told me I should open them but I told him I cant go back in there.

DH will be going in there when he gets home. Her room is totally inhabitable in my opinion. DH told me he told her to spray lysol and she told him it wasn't that bad so I went in there and sprayed half a can while she stood there, all over everything and told her to clean her room. When I left I heard her coughing, I was cracking up laughing myself. Then I walked by and her door was open so I told her to go in there, close her door and clean up, she was letting the open window air out and her door must be closed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH }:) She came out and said, I think I inhaled the stuff you sprayed because its making me cough, I said oh well, its better than what was in there, it wont kill you.

They are lazy and just do not care!! My SD15 last summer brought a bunch of wet beach clothes into her room and left them there for weeks. It smelled like she was hiding a dead body under the bed. Somehow she just didn't notice.

How about her sitting in her room with dog poop on the floor. The dogs hate her. They don't poop or pee in the house but given the chance they will poop in her room. She leaves it and steps over it. WTF?? So gross!!

When I complain to her about it she gets spiteful and will spray an entire bottle of perfume all around her room and the entire house fills up with it! She knows it makes me sick when she does that. Evil brat!!

I say take her door away! That way she has no privacy what so ever. Tell her she can't have it back until she shows that she can keep her room clean.

If she earns it back, and it gets messy, then the door goes away again. }:)

The point is, I am sure at 16, she wants her privacy. She would clean that room to get her door back.

Please tell me this 16 year old has lost not only her door but her cell phone, her dating rights, not allowed to go to friends and so on....
If not why not she is pushing your buttons because she can. I would yank out the carpet too because it probably does have mold on the padding and is very dangerous to not only her health but everyone in the house. For goodness shake if she has a car sale it and buy new carpet and paint for the room. Don't let her keep ahold of the wheel or she will continue driving your house into a total dirt hole.

I can't imagine she is getting asked out considering that she must smell like her room.

she has a boyfriend, he was here last week for the FIRST time. Do you think she cleaned her room or made her bed? NOT!

After the ex fixation of the lysol, she asked if she could take a shower and clean her room after because she felt gross. I said NOPE, clean your room and then you can take a shower. So, she just walked out with a huge garbage bag asking me where she should put it. Ummm, how bout up your ass?!? I told her to take it outside and throw it away in the garbage cans, takes a genius I guess to figure that one out. She told me that she thinks she got the smell, it was coming from her garbage can, umm- I guess when you eat everything that isnt nailed down and then throw it in a can without a bag and the smell mixes with sanitary pads that you don't wrap and throw away that could happen. :jawdrop: What a slob

Guess what, daddy is rewarding her by allowing her to sleep at her friends house tonight, isn't that special..... :?

Funny, SD BM, although she doesn't see her all that often is a neat freak. So much so that DH told me when he was married, she would kick him out in sunday's to clean AND she never opened the blinds because she thought the sun brought in the dust :? Not the sharpest tool in the shed. You would think SD would maybe be more like her mom but nope, as a matter of fact in the 3 years she has lived here, she has NEVER washed her sheets or her blankets and 2 weeks ago she finally washed her pillow case but she never took it out of the laundry area, it's now on the floor in a heap. She's just disgusting, yet she goes in the shower every day for over an hour, wonder what she's actually doing in there.

arm yourself with lysol - use the real stuff not the store brand. Spray Every time you pass. Feel free to get the kid to, after all she is creating whatever that smell is.
