Good day, I'm new to this site. I'm a 53 yr.old stepmom fighting to save my marriage of 22 yrs to my 56 yr.old husband. ALL our fights and threats to file for divorce come when we try to discuss his two daughters, ages 31 and 38, both married with two kids each of their own. Their mother (ex-wife) has NEVER made it easy for us to have a relationship, and now my husband, in the depths of mid-life crisis, wants to try to "reconnect" with his daughters .... they decided to be "adopted" by their stepdad legally seven years ago and haven't spoken to him since.
