Lord Help me

I've been here almost a week now. I didn't expect anything to happen on this visit as far as me meeting his ex wife and kids but she reached out to me. She invited me over for dinner so I could officially meet her and the kids. Part of me wanted to run and hide or felt like it's a trap but we are all adults here and it is just as awkward for her as it is me. On our way there we stopped by the store and after him telling me hee favorite drink I got her a small bottle of it as a peace offering. When we got there I could tell she had been doing some drinking and I don't blame her it does help ease the awkward.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT get chummy with BM. There are those who have done so, thought BM was a 'friend' and had it backfire in the most horrible way.

You went to dinner. She met you. She's sized you up. Now remain polite, but distant. BMs and skids can be veeeeery tricksy.

I second that !
OP from my experience BM and steps want to know about you, as a form of gossip or the "AHA we have info on her" Stay far away. Never reveal too much about yourself. Those are wise words I have been told. Luckily I am squeaky clean Wink so they have nothing, and that drives them even more crazy.
As Aniki said remain distant but polite.
