Checking in/update

Hey everyone! Its been a long time since I have been on so I thought I would give you an update. Snatquatch (BM) has not contacted SD8 since she moved to Florida months ago. SD hasnt really mentioned or asked about her as much as I thought she would. She seems to be adjusting to being here full time and I know it will take time to work out ALL her issues. Her day wetting has its ups and downs. She can go a week without wetting herself and then wet her pants for 3-4 days straight! Its so frustrating to not know when or where she will have an "accident" and its even more frustrating when we are out in public somewhere. Night time hasnt changed at all. She is still wetting the bed EVERY SINGLE NIGHT without fail. I am so ready to make her start sleeping in the bath tub! Her room reeks of pee and I make dad go in there to clean or retrieve any laundry. I HATE having my house smell like pee all the time. I have candles all over the house to try to cover up the smell. Her whining and pouting has been getting less and less now that we are both ignoring it so thats a plus. Anybody here still having these issues with an 8 year old???

Not the pee issues, no. We also have SD9 with us FT now, but her issues are more crying and manipulating, plus the whining and trying to "control" DH. BM speaks with her once a week, but we monitor those calls so there is nothing being fed to her. Was your SD a pants-wetter before this all happened, or is it a result of this? Do you have her in counseling for her issues regarding all the change?

No experience here.. but your posted reminded me... what ever happened to the gal with Captain Shitty Pants? I haven't seen her around in a bit, but then again I haven't been around as much. I know she had a baby but haven't seen anything since and I can't remember her name.

Houtxstepmom. She deleted her account. I "friended" her and now it's showing that I don't have access, which means the account is deleted.

Kind of annoying, I can never remove her as a friend now.

She has always wet her bed/pants. Never stopped at night and like I said, can go 1-2 weeks without having an accident so she DOES know what she is doing. She just wont take the time to go. I try to ignore it as much as I can but I am NOT about to let her ruin my furniture/carpet/beds/cars ect! She does see a therapist once a week and was advised that any issues she has (whatever they may be) wont be cured/resolved overnight....it will take time.

I would guess that others kids and peer pressure at that age would help her stop, or at least be more aware of her smelling like pee?

Thats exactly right! Which its why she RARELY has accidents in front of her friends. I am NOT going to put my plans on hold because of her and I dont always have somewhere where she can stay while I am out shopping or whatever. I have cans of febreeze all over the house along with the candles and I just have to shovel over $150 for a new carpet cleaner! Those things are not cheap at all but I NEEDED to get one!

Katie, I wouldn't hesitate to make her step daughter wear pull up all the time. then there would be no ruined furniture or mattresses or car seats.
