Thanks guys and gals!!!

In the past 3 days I have contracted my DD13's germs and they're currently winning the battle on my immune system - which I thought was strong - but apparently is very, very, weak.

I've been barely able to function - going to work and trying hard not to fall asleep, taking meds, and blowing my nose so often I could lead Santa this Christmas.

While I'm not legally married, my boyfriend and I live together and he is, in every way - the man in my kids' lives. We'll call him The MAN . Their BF has been non-existent since ordered to pay CS.

Having been sick with 2 kids, 2 dogs, a full time job and going to school (currently for paralegal, eventually law school so I can be an attorney!), every waking able-minded moment I have goes to studying, kids, housework and commuting. It leaves very little time for me and The Man.

Life itself can be frustrating enough without added stressors such as CS hearings and Mutated Cold Viruses from hell.

The Man has been flippin' wonderful. He can't cook, so he brought dinner home last night and he and the DD13 prepared a yummy dinner of rotisserie chicken, rice & beans and Brussels sprouts. The Man remembered to provide a leafy green and a protein for my DS8 who is somewhat anemic.

He called to find out what kind of medicine I wanted, made me coffee when I said I wanted some, brought me a blanket, and has coddled me non-stop. He's managed the kids, the dogs, and his full-time & part-time job as well. I'm so proud of him. I told him so last night, and he seemed pleased with himself.

So to all of you Step-whicheveryouare's out there - I just want to say thank you for all of your hard work, commitment to someone else's kids, and all of the love and support you give to us Bioparents. Not all of us suck, and not all of you are thanked nearly enough.
