psychiatric eval

OK so now we have slowed down the process. We are having a psychiatric evaluation done on ex. Our lawyer didn't like the ad litem recommendation. So he said this will give us the upper hand back. The ad litem stated it was a ploy to keep us in this state but the biggest problem I see with that is her new husband is also military and been stationed here for four years so can be moved anytime. Its just another stressful situation added on to a very stressful one. So what does everyone know about the evaluations? How long does it take? My husband will have to have one too nut we aren't concerned with that part. Thanks everyone!

We just made the decision to do the evaluation on Friday so no we haven't heard when he will go for his, we are praying it is within a week or two. Is it wrong to call the psychiatrist? To offer a heads up kinda deal or will he receive all the documentation?

I have read a lot on the disorder. I have a 17good year old daughter diagnosed with the disorder. I also do have the name if the psychologist, I have looked up everything I can on him. I still don't know if all this will help though. With a diagnosis wouldn't her being on the meds help her case? And just show that she was lying during deposition wouldn't make her unfit would it? I just really hate being in this position. Not knowing is gonna send me to see her docs!

We plan on moving out of state at the end of this school year. My daughter is in another state due to a military move, she wanted to stay with her father because of high school. So GAL was basically trying to force us to stay here. Knowing we wouldn't, couldn't leave to innocent children here we would have to stay if BM got custody.
