So my SO got word that BM and SD12 are moving to our town. Yeah no more 45 miles both ways to see her. This will be good for their relationship and the kids are excited to be closer to each other. However still unsure the reason behind the quick move ( I don't understand because she was renting a house with her fiance and they had just painted and decorated SD's room for her, Also she used to live 145 miles away from us in another state then moved to our state last summer and now again this summer) but BM,has put on my SO and I to take SD s cat that she loves so much.
Bm signed a year lease somwhere that will not allow cats now its on him and I to either take it in or break SD 12 heart. We can have cats but it will cost us in deposit and pet rent. Plus we both hate cats. What do u think we should do ?
SO told SD12 that he would look into it with our landlord and find out what it will cost but I know that he doesn't want to take the cat. SO told BM that he would have to talk it over with me, Great now I am going to look like the bad guy. I told Him NOT to make me the bad guy in this. I am also trying to find another home for the cat as well. BM asked him if he could take her temp, yeah except that is 10 months in her eyes. That's not temp, plus what we are supposed to bond with a cat and give it back. The kids would be devestated if we did that as well. I fell stuck between hurtin SD12 and taking a smelly cat in an apartment. I HATE cats more then anything. They smell and get hair everywhere. I know that if you care for them that they are not always that bad but I will not do it and I don't see SO or SD12 doing it either. I don't want the hair everywhere either. This is a furry shedding cat. I am sorry if any one loves cats but they are just not for me.
