Accomplishments
It's like an alternative reality.
Here's what DH is doing, completely on his own volition:
* putting in Wifi controls today and wants me to set passwords so even he doesn't know them.
* he's tired of SDs, esp SD10, not having enough clothes here, so The next time he picks up SD10 from BMs (when she's not there) he's going to make sure she gets all the clothes he's bought her and take them back to our house. (SDs transfer to us after school so it's hard for them to bring clothes to school, thus the imbalance...he also found out BM had them pack for thanksgiving already so they have even less clothes right now...wth?)
* he took his car to the shop to get it fixed finally. He may need a new
Car though...
* he's cooking dinner tonight and I haven nothing to do with it.
* he arranged it so both SDs had overnights at friend's homes so we had an evening alone (we have them for almost two weeks straight). And I fell asleep at 9:30. Sorry DH!
* he now realizes the SDs hardly give him respect and he's working on that and he discussed it with me openly (I gave him no opinion but support).
Little steps! Keep disengaged!

So if most of her clothing is at BM's house, don't pack any clothes in her backpack until you get them back. Once you get them back, pack an outfit or two. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Otherwise, I'm so proud of your DH. You must be so relieved1

isn't disengagement nice - yes it takes time, but the reward is worth the waiting
...the passwords aren't in
...the passwords aren't in yet (we're doing that this week, time got away from us this weekend) BUT he has it set to totally turn off at 9:30 on weekdays - so that's progress!
Bad News:
I went into her room to get one of the cats out of there - the cat eats rubber bands and hair bands so NO CATS in that pit of a room.
And guess what was found in SD12's room?
More rotten food and you guessed it - YOU ALL CALLED IT! - A USED PAD!
I went alllllll off on that one and called a meeting with SD12 and DP. Engaged on this one STAT. DP was pretty horrified...He made her clean her room. Turned off the WiFi all afternoon. She was literally shaking (like the addict that she is) when she figured out she couldn't get on line. Until her room was cleaned, no WiFi.
I didn't do squat.
Just gave DH a gentle reminder to check her closet, under her bed, and her dresser drawers for crap stashed away. I don't think he did.
She took out no trash and no recycling.
As of just before dinner, no laundry had been started or put into laundry room for DH to take care of (his requirement).
