I made many promises to my husband on our wedding day as did he to me. I don't remember promising him to take care of his kids, helping him take care of himself and his kids. I remember he and I both promising to take care of each other and our marriage. I promised to allow him the space to fulfill his responsibilites to his children, but not at the expense of our marriage. I remember him promising to put me above all others.
