O/T Mamms, ultrasound & biopsies.....oh, my!

The past 2 weeks have not been the best. Being taken via ambulance to the hospital with chest pains, dizziness, light-headed, cold sweats. Not heart, thankfully. Doctor thinks it's my thyroid causing everything.

Besides dealing with all that and pushing to get a thyroid scan, I had my yearly mammogram/ultrasound. The US tech sat me down after, handed me a brochure and start talking about biopsies. I literally felt like I had left my body and her voice was coming from far away. All I could do was nod. I was only here to get checked out! I wasn't even stressed or worried about the outcome because I was sure they'd find nothing.

Because I had my last mammogram at another facility, the radiologist hasn't posted the results yet because they want to compare the 2. I'm about coming out of my skin waiting to hear from my doctor. She couldn't schedule the biopsy because there are no posted results yet.

Ugh! And I just want the BF to hug me and tell me everything will be okay.

I just went through this. I was a wreck waiting for results. Try to keep your mind occupied. Please keep us posted. {{BIG HUGS}} I know I'm not your BF, but I would hug you if I could.

Aw, thanks!! I'd take a hug right now, too! Smile I'll let you know. I called the Breast Evaluation facility and they didn't see anything typed up yet. She did tell me that they didn't get the films from the last mamm until Friday.

I went through this last year too.

I have Graves Disease (thyroid) and it has caused me all kinds of health issues. Namely high cholesterol and dense breast tissue. I have calcifications in my breasts that look suspicious on mammograms. So I'll end up having more biopsies in my future.

Deep breath. It's gonna be a-okay.

I suspect, with your ER visit and symptoms, you were either in a thyroid storm or may have Graves as well. Please get that checked out ASAP.

I have been where you are - all thyroid related. Scary as shit, that's for sure.

I would guess thyroid storm.

Have these tests run - TSH, free T4 and T3, reverse T3, thyroid antibodies.

Pm me if you have any questions. I'm the queen of hypothyroid and Shaman is the queen of hyperthyroid
