OT - Eff Off Friday/Forn Friday

Aniki-Moderator's picture

TGIF, STalkers! I'm on an endless zoom, counting down the time until I can mentally sprint out of work.

Eff off to:

  • Dipshidiots who do not read the zoom email message, insist on sharing their screen and yammering on and on... only to be told that is NOT the topic of this particular zoom. And then the whining commences. *dash1*
  • TweedleDum. You do not want to know what other colorful metaphors I've been using while trying to work with this bloody moron. I've come to the conclusion that TDum is using weaponized incompetence. Ugh.

Forn Friday

Forn is 'food' and 'p0rn' combined.

I am at a loss today. DH accidentally grabbed a big ol' bag of FAKE crab meat. What in the world can I make with this stuff? Help!!!

Wishing you a stress-free, healthy, and enjoyable weekend!

The fake crab meat is good when mixed with mayonnaise, chopped celery, and chopped green onion - at least,t that is what I see in the crab salad that I buy premade. Then put it on crackers. Or.... you can make a seafood pasta salad, which is darned good! Here is a recipe I found online:

SEAFOOD PASTA SALAD

Ingredients

1 lb Medium Shell Pasta cooked

2 stalks celery chopped

1 pound imitation crabmeat chopped

1 and 1/2 cups mayonnaise

2 tablespoons white sugar

2 tablespoons white vinegar

2 tsp Lemon Juice

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning seafood seasoning

Instructions

Place cooked pasta in a large mixing bowl.

Add in celery and crab meat.

Mix in mayo, sugar, vinegar and lemon juice.

Next add in your salt,  pepper, onion powder and Old Bay Seasoning.

Mix all together in a large bowl. Chill for at least 2 hours. Served chilled.

Thanks for sharing, Shieldmaiden!

Does it taste mayonnaisey? I can tolerate mayo as a binder as long as I cannot taste it.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it does. You could try a Caesar dressing instead. That would be pretty good. I have a recipe at home for the crab pasta salad that calls for creamy caesar dressing. Its super good.

Caesar is an excellent idea! Maybe combine the two. Thanks! *give_rose*

If you have an air fryer crab crunchies are yummy!

Cut them into bite size nuggets, coat in butter and whatever seasoning you like (I use old bay or Creole) and air fry for like 7-8 min, shake around and then another 7-8 mins. Dip in garlic butter.

They make a good appetizer.

Biggrin

I know that fackwit wanted me to actuallactive over the task so my name was assigned to it. Nope. I worked through my lunch with a protein shake and typed up instructions. I am NOT putting my name on his phuckery!

I think I would make him take that $hit back to the store.

It was an impulse buy and I foolishly opened it before I read the label. *sad*

I don't love crab at the best of times.  Do you have any feral cats that need feeding near by? *diablo*

Aniki-Moderator's picture

do love crab! However, fake is not equal to real. ~sob~

Oh, there are plenty of feral cats! Mostly on the large side - bobcats, mountain lions... *crazy*

Maybe best not to have your neighboorhood "cats" seeing your house as a source of food.  They might move from fake crab sticks to real people!
