DH received certified mail today from his darling, loving, sweet, considerate daughter.... Can you sense the sarcasm? This Beautiful letter is a CC of a letter she sent to the magistrate, requesting a GAL for HER upcoming court date.
My bad, I thought child support cases were between the Parents of minor children. She wants to know what she needs to do Next.

Yes, you're 17, yep this is About you but this is Not your effing court case. And sorry for you but your mother signed a divorce decree laying this stuff out back when you were like 3. After she drug the divorce process out for as long as inhumanly possible.

Which we wouldn't care about except that based on the divorce decree, it should be stopping in 4 weeks when she graduates. Hell if it went to SD it might actually be used For SD.

The divorce decree is from VA. SD lives in NY now. There is some debate over what the court will decide.
And yes there is a "counter suit" from BM wanting DH to pay 85% of college tuition. College is not mentioned in the original decree.

You were kind enough to tell us about that before and so accordingly, CS should stop in just a few weeks. I'm not quite so worried about that as the lovely depressive state my DH has gone into over his daughter doing this.
I'm pretty sure it's just a stunt, engineered and encouraged by BM. Probably because she would like a lawyer there on "her side" since I'm pretty sure she can't afford one. Also because they know it would upset DH. He's just bemoaning that SD would do this, would participate etc. I am not at all surprised, but I'm still amazed that her mom cares so little about her that she will stuff her full of poison then direct her at DH, all over money, never caring what it really does to SD.
