Help!

I'm going to be 1 week overdue as of tomorrow. NB is being stubborn.

I had a horrible reaction to pitocin with BD2's birth. My blood pressure spiked and I ended up bleeding for 3 months afterwards. My doctor has promised me he'll use it only as a last resort, but I'm still very very worried about it.

I've tried black cohosh, evening primrose oil, walking, dancing, spicy foods, castor oil, and jumping jacks (re: the last two; I'm getting desperate lol). Dr. stripped my membranes on Monday. I've been doing lots and lots of praying today...

I REALLY don't want to have to have an induction again. Sad

Any suggestions ladies? I was 2 cm, 50% and +1 station as of Monday. Dr. says he'll have me admitted at 4 cm and 100% OR when I'm at 4:1:1 (contractions 4 minutes apart, 1 minute long, for 1 hour). I'm currently not having any contractions that I can feel.

1) Nipple stimulation (causes uterine contractions) do this when DH is not home

2) SEX lots and lots and lots of sex. And DH needs to ensure you get multiples! Orgasms cause contractions and male ejaculate works wonders for softening the cervix.

Acupuncturist! They might be able to help!

If you have a pump, try to start pumping? Same thing as nipple stimulation....

I also second sex.

sex, raspberry tea, walk, walk, walk. I was overdue with dd 2 weeks she came all on her own. DS we stripped my membranes the day before his due date I walked and walked he came on time. My sister had this done http://www.cookmedical.com/wh/features/crb_en_US/index_crb.html
but she was preterm there were problems with the placenta and it didn't work for her. You have options a week overdue isn't a big deal maybe your due date is off.

I tried everything with my two as well and the only thing that worked was sex. I had both babies the day after Smile Good luck!

Aye aye ladies. DH will be happy to hear that (I've been too hot and uncomfortable this week to feel sexy Sad )

My due date was confirmed several ways and couldn't have been off by more than a day or two (I know what day I ovulated (basal body temp), was tracking when DH and I were intimate, had a + test on Day 22 of my cycle, and had an ultrasound at week 9 that I measured 9 weeks 4 days at.) NB is measuring large, similar to how BD2 measured. BD2 was 9.5 lbs and a week early. I measured at 42 cm at 39 weeks with both her and NB. I'm now 44 cm. Needless to say, we need her out before she doesn't fit through the exit!
