In my husband's papers it states that his ex's Christmas vacation with his daughter "ends at 6 pm on the day prior to school resuming" in his regular custody agreement it states that his weekends are 1st, 3rd, & 5th ending at time school resumes. This being the first weekend of the month, does he pick up his daughter at 6 and keep her over night til school starts?

When does school start? I would say that holiday arrangements override usual routines.

We never have lived nearer than 1200 miles from Sperm Land so we always had a long distance visitation schedule to deal with. In our case the holiday visitation alternated on even and odd years. Even years visitation started the day after school let out for the holidays and ended on the 24th when the Skid had to be returned to us at or before the time we put him on the plane to Sperm Land on the first day of visitation.

In odd years visitation started Dec 26th and ended the day before school started with the same stipulation that the Skid had to be back in our care at or before the time we released him for visitation which was the time that his flight to Sperm Land took off and not the time that they picked him up at the airport on their end.

We had a few rows in court over their idiotic inability to understand the basics of start and end times and dates for their visitation. The CO was very clear on start and end times for visitation and that SS was not allowed to miss any school due to visitation.
