Child Support and kids dont live with cp

Could someone help me understand how the CP can still get child support even if the children do not live with her and she doesnt even give the grandparents money to help support the children. We're trying to get the order changed now, but for so long she has gotten away with this, and we cant do anythign about making her pay it back. We are in Texas.

She is due child support until the court orders otherwise. You can petition the courts for anything you think is fair and if it is you'll probably get it.

we're in the same situation. we got an order saying that we have full custody signed a week ago (ss has been living with us f/t for the past four months) and his bm has flat out refused to go to the social services people with dh and get it changed. so we have to pay our lawyer some more money to go to court and get the child support taken away. For the five months that we thought ss was living with her (she was basically MIA) and we were paying CS, we found out that for one entire month ss was with dh's great aunt, and for three or four days of every week ss was with bm's parents. Its a really awesome system we've got huh? we're still paying her - have been even for the past four months to support a child that she is not supporting. i know how you feel. Good luck to you.
