Just got a motion from the x about reducing PL support due to him not working. Can I delay this , courts are open ? We havea trial in August think it will be delayed too?
I would talk to your lawyer or call the court house if you have questions, they will be able to give you answers or at least suggest somewhere to find them.
What it PL? It is unlikely that CS will be reduced due to a reduction in NCP income. My SS's SpermIdiot tried this periodically over the years we lived under a CO and his CS went up every time.
The income shares CS model used by many States can force CS up for the NCP even when their income goes down or stays the same while the CP's income goes up.
Take a look at your online support calculator to get an idea of what the likely outcome will be due to your X's reduction in income. If you do not agree to the reduction, it is unlikely that it will drop.
At least that is how it worked out during our years under the CO.
If he has as much money as you claim, how is it that you do not have an attorney to answer these questions? We have no way of knowing what your local courts will do on a given issue but they do and it is their job to discuss it with you.
