It's Time to Play The "Who Bales On Who" Weekend game show!

Endora's picture

It is BM's weekend with SS16 (Zippy) -and every other weekend we play this game, BM has a mirade of excuses for not having Zippy on her weekend, when she doesn't, her DS helps her out and plays this game:

SS lives with us full time.

House rules state:

He is to call Mom on Wednesday and arrange weekend plans so as I can arrange mine (re -meals, drives etc.)

DH on Tuesday says sweetly to his perfect peach of a son-

"Now sweetie, make your plans with your Mom for this weekend and give her a call please"

(always open ended requests that can be twisted like a pretzel and when that fails, conveniently forgotten by both parties).

SS: Yup Yup Yup Uh Huh Huh Uh Huh

DH repeats request on Wednesday

SS: Yup Yup Yup Uh Huh Huh Uh Huh

Thursday afternoon I call DH at 3pm two hours before his shift at 5pm to ask simply that he get Zippy to call his Mom BEFORE DH goes to work and DH call me back with the weekend game plan.

I have learned NOT to leave things to the last minute when it comes to DH and SS as the weekend break I get sooo rarely will not happen if I leave it up to the two of them.

Whereby at this point -DH gets mad at me and is insulted that I have put a time line on the Wonderful Zippy when the Zipster is perfectly accountable and always does what Daddy says

(where are those glasses he wears around Zippy?-I REALLY NEED A PAIR!)

And I'm really good at the "play at home" version.

Let me guess..you'll be having Zippy YET AGAIN this weekend.

So you'll have to let me know on Monday what my "prize" is when I've guessed correctly, after BM makes up yet another excuse for not seeing her son.

Sorry about that, Endora.
