I know I'm not perfect, but I try to be the best person I can be. When I think of being a step-mom, I just can't stand it. I wonder if DH thinks it was worth it to marry BM and have SD. Everything surrounding SD is negative. She isn't involved in anything, just lays around the house watching tv, gets bad grades, has a bad attitude, is mean at family gatherings, etc. etc. DH tries to get her to change these behaviors, but she doesn't care. BM says she cares, but there's no follow through.

Is there anything positive about all this? How can he stand it? I just don't understand how he can be committed to all of this when it's just a big pile of S.
