Good morning,

My SD9 was with us this weekend and she wasn't herself from the minute we picked her up. I had to do some errands so she came with me. She was quiet and if you knew my SD you would know that something is wrong as she is one little chatterbox. So she finally said to me I want to tell you something but I cant but if you guess then that's ok...anyway to make a long story short she finally told me that her mom and her mom's BF has a big fight again (they fight all the time)but this time the BF called the police and my SD was so frightened that she did not want to go to school as the police may come and ask her what had happened. I told her if the police came to her school she simply has to tell them the truth..but my SD believes that if the police came to speak with her then they would take her to the Childrens Jail...I asked her what that was and she said that's where kids go when there is trouble in the home. I was so shocked that her BM would tell her such nonsense. I told her that there is no Childrens Jail and if something was to happen where the police removed her fromt her moms they would call us and she would come and stay with her dad and I. I also told her if to call us if anything like that happens again as she is not to be in the middle of her mom's fights with her BF. This poor kid was just beside herself... so to say the least she slept like a baby after our chat...

Then SD calls her mom to ask her if she can come over again next weekend (we get her every 2nd weekend) as our town is having the annual Christmas Parade and all sorts of events are going on and her friend and her want to go..her mom gave her such a hard time and then said to her "Does your dad want you there"...my SD said to her mom they want me here all the time...so anyways her mother finally said yes..we shall see if she comes on Friday...

Anyway this is minor compared to all the stuff that happens on a regular basis but I needed to get if off my chest....thanks for letting me vent... Z
