Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I have 3 women in my office all expecting babies within 10 days of each other.
One is having a boy, one girl, and one unknown.
One woman is orthodox Jewish, so a lot of traditional "just for mom" gifts aren't really appropriate for her (she doesn't do coffee, chocolates, pedicures, etc).

Being a new mom with a 1 month old- I know! Bottles (only if u know the brand she uses), diapers, wipes, soothie pacifiers! Maybe even some remedies - gas drops, baby saline nasal spay, gripe water, things like that.
Also dinner! It was so nice when people dropped off dinner for us :)could be cheap like lasagna or baked ziti.
The Happiest Baby on the
The Happiest Baby on the Block book was given to me at a baby shower by my girlfriend. She swore by it. I read it, I loved it, I used it and I gave the secrets away to friends. My baby was super happy for 12 bucks.

Diapers, baby laundry
Diapers, baby laundry detergent and wipes are the best gift. They go so fast and they get costly. Or cloth diapers if someone will use those.
