I totally DESPISE the BM, I really do!!
I just have to vent, I am so frustrated! My DH recently had a formal psychological exam of SD7 on the recommendation of her therapist and others to determine the extent of trauma, emotional damage due to witnessing domestic violence at her Mom's house (we suspect and know of multiple times). Part of the exam involved the Dr. interviewing the BM, which she would not do in person (due to 1 hr. drive was her excuse), so he had to interview her over the phone. What a pity since he could not read her body language and she is EXPERT at lying. Well, no surprise here, she lied her way through the interview. BM told the Dr. there had been one incident of DV that SD had witnessed and we have a sheriff's report that shows 2 that THEY were called in on and SD's stories to us of others that may not have been as severe as the 2, but did involve physical violence. Plus BM made herself out to be the concerned one to put SD in counseling following the one (NOT!) incident, but we have records showing BM had SD in counseling for the DV ~ 7 months PRIOR to her ONE admitted DV incident. Hmmmm, that would indicate there were more incidents, wouldn't it??!!
*Sigh* I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but DAMN, it just burns my *ss that she CONTINUES to lie and everyone takes her at face value (in fairness to the Dr., he really could do nothing else).
Thanks for listening. This helped a little just getting it off my chest. More wine please!! lol

OMG
Its so hard when you are trying to do what is best for the child and one parent won't cooperate and be honest. How can you "fix" something when all the facts are not known. Its like calling the car repair shop and explaining the problem but refusing to bring your car in to get a proper diagnosis of the problem.
Get the doc all the info you have plus the info for the other doc and let the doc do his job and do the assesment with all the facts.
Good luck - I know its hard.
