Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

That would break my heart too
I don't understand these women who just don't care about their own children. I only have fur children (cats) but believe me, those cats are clean & healthy. I also stay on my mother's case to keep HER dogs well groomed & I brush them nearly every time I'm over there. I just can't stand to see them nappy looking.
How can a grown woman not give a damn about her own children? It baffles me.
Hipi
When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.
I don't understand either hipi
It's what baffles me, I am take pride in sending my daughter to school and in public places well groomed and dressed nice...BM just doesn't care...her child is a paycheck to her. She also sent him here sick without hat and gloves in 20 degree weather today...he's been sick since he visited on a weekend two weeks ago! You'd think he'd be better by now but she's obviously not caring for him...and now the clothes are not too small but hugely too big...he looks like a homeless kid...and it's just plain sad...
I don't get it either
There were seven kids in my family. We were by no means rich, in fact, we just managed to scrape by. But my mother had enough pride to make sure none of her kids looked like street urchins. Even cheap soap and laundry detergent work. Some people just have no pride or shame.
