I'm Tired!!!!

So when I last posted. My dh's loser daughter was moving from the other side of the country to live with us, eventhough we have no room and she has a room at her mom's and is her mom's only child. I can't understand for the life of me how a child can completely changed the dynamics of our entire living arrangement whenever she feels like it. Well she comes here and eventhough she has been here for 2 weeks and not spent one night, she went and changed her address to ours and my car insurance increased by $974.00 for 6 months. Keep in mind, she has been staying with her aunt for the entire 2 weeks. Because my dh drives a company vehicle, it doesn't effect him. He acts like he could care less. It only effects myself and my daughter as we both have insurance on our vehicles. The crazy thing is my SD doesn't even have a car. So basically we're just paying for her to live here.

Yep insurance increase makes zero sense. Call your insurer to check what is going on and see how you can get the premium lowered.

Why is SD on your insurance if she does not have a vehicle, no one simply gets onto your policy?
I suggest you find out who added her and take her off, she's not your responsibility, DH can get her her own insurance.

Furthermore set DH down and say this was only temporary, she needs to find her own place and give him a deadline

Is it possible that your sd really has no intentions of staying at your home? Maybe her agenda is just simply to upset the peace in your home. If so, mission accomplished!

Hugs!!

Where I live, car insurance does go up if you have a licensed child (adult or minor) living in your home.
Unless that child owns her/his own car and has their own insurance.
They live in the house, therefore they have access to the vehicles, whether they actually drive them on not does not matter.

Someone had to inform them.
Is it possible when she changed the address on her drivers license that information was shared with the insurance company? I'm not sure how things work in the states.
I know here in Canada, you can't renew the car plate without proof of insurance, but that has nothing to do with the drivers license.
If that is not the case, then either SD or DH provided the insurance company with that information.
