Her step-dad is an immigration lawyer. I guess that played a role.

Kind of the escalation to sending your kid to Military School. I think her parents were making a point that she has yet to gain clarity on.

Good for her parents. If teens want to play adult and flaunt the household rules they can realize adult consequences.

IMHO of course.
