Got wonderful news from DH today!!

My SD23 is moving 900 miles away with her boyfriend in June!! I had to work very hard to contain my glee at the news. She will be moving out of our rental house, too, so we will be selling it and that means no more supporting her or having it be something she could come back to should this move not work out for her.

My DH has a S25 who lives 100 miles away with his girlfriend and one S27 who still lives here but rarely engages with his dad. In fact, that son didn't even call his dad on his birthday last week, no card, nothing.

With SD gone, maybe now, for the first time in 16 years, we might really have a marriage. I'm so glad I won't have to deal with her in the same city anymore!!

This creates opportunities for a few possibilities:

Maybe Dad could exclude her BF from things.
Maybe Dad could make her BF feel unwelcome.
Maybe Dad could treat her BF with disrespect because he doesn't like him.

I have nothing against SDs' BF. But I do have to say, this provides a perfect opportunity for someone to give SD a taste of her own medicine }:)

thank you all for your support. i'm hoping that after she's gone for a time and gets into her new life, the texts and phone calls to DH will diminish, too.

it's so sickening to me when he goes to take out the trash or get something from his car and it takes 10 minutes longer than it should have. it's like he has a mistress and i want to barf! :sick:

My DH pulls that crap too. Doesn't he know that I'm not stupid. One day I watched him supposedly leave to go to the store. He eventually left; after spending a half hour out front talking to his personal Dibbuk. I could see him from the window laughing and smiling as he always does with her. When she calls he answers the phone and elevates his voice to please her. He sounds like someone has called to tell him he has won the Lottery or something. It makes me quite ill. :sick:

I wish princess brat would move far away. Perhaps a place with no Internet and phone as well. Siberia or Somalia sound good to me. }:)

Yea, my SO's whole voice changes when he talks to his kids. I think it's funny! Fake laughs, etc. Sometimes I wonder if I do that when my DD calls me.

He only does it with princess brat. He sounds like a castrata as his voice shoots up 5 octaves. When his sons call he sounds genuinely happy, which he should because they are productive, good people that are kind and respectful. Little miss failure calls and he starts shrieking like a teenage girl and before they hang up he says " well, it's so nice to hear your voice" and oh god the nausea takes hold of my body :sick: :sick: :sick:

My therapist said I should ask DH not to take calls from SD when we're out on a "date." His response was, " and make her feel like she's not important."

Damn right she's not supposed to be important when you're on a date. Ridiculous. She had 18 years to be " important". These adult brats think they should be #1 forever and that's not how life works. If tyatcwas the case then it would be the norm for fathers to marry their daughters. Sick, sick, sick

i envy you. i want so much for sd and bf to move away. there's no reason for them to, but i still keep hoping.

If she comes back for a visit, she'll have to stay with family. Luckily, she's made it clear that I don't qualify for that title! Stupid brat!

I know its a slap in the face to you as she implied that you arent family but thats her idiocy coming through. so, Go find your "family" you little snot. Sounds like something psycho princess would say. Its the passive aggressive crap that they love to throw our way and yes it is annoying but if that means she won't sleep at your house it sounds like a win-win situation to me.

Oh, how I envy you! SD18 (Satan's Daughter) will be 19 this summer. A crappy 1 day a week job at McDonalds, no boyfriend because no one can put up with her wackjob BS, a maturity level of a 10 year old, etc. all make it NOT possible for her to GTFO! But that's ok, she has DADDY to live off of :sick:

My BS14 will probably be out of the house on his own before her }:)

Enjoy your new found freedom - hopefully now you can have a normal, healthy marriage!

My SD is also satan's spawn. Perhaps they are sisters. I keep thinking she was accidentally switched at the hospital as it seems impossible that my sweet DH could have fathered such a rotten excuse of a human being
