BM has been refusing to provide copies of birth certificates, medical records, social security cards, and daycare registration documentation for several weeks now.
The CO clearly states she is required to provide these things to DH upon his request (we know that immediate response is not reasonable, and DH has given her ample notice and timeframes for when he need these documents).
She continues to refuse. So he sends her a very firm email citing the CO section that specifically addresses this issue. She replies telling him that any requests he has can be brought up in mediation (scheduled for June 15th).
He explained that mediation is reserved for addressing changes or problems, not as a crutch or excuse to disregard the current CO.
She replied with, "in exchange for the requested documents, I am requesting that you send me copies of all pictures you have of the girls and promise to send me a minimum of 2 pictures per day while the girls are in your care"
Really?

DH ended the conversation
DH ended the conversation with "You have until tomorrow at 5pm to provide the requested documents or I will contact my lawyer and file contempt charges."
We get the girls tomorrow at 5pm anyway, so it would be a natural point of exchange.
She responded with several variations of "Don't threaten me with court just because you're not getting your way" .. blah blah blah. He is no longer responding to the crazy.

I'd just contact the ss admin., state records, and dr. offices myself. Less drama = happier me. Besides, seems in this situation it would actually be the faster option.

Yup that's what he's been doing. Unfortunately, it's not always faster. The girls were born in a different state, so the process to order and receive official birth certificates takes several weeks. And we can't get SS cards without birth certs. Etc etc etc.
But he's working on it. It doesn't change the fact she's supposed to provide this stuff though.
She has also lied to him, in writing, regarding their medical records (stating their physicals were current when they aren't); so he only deals directly with the doctor regarding those things from now on anyway.

I have to agree with everyone saying get them yourself. FDH asked his mom for his son's birth certificate and social security card and she gave him photocopies and claimed not to have the originals. Ok whatever. We are still moving forward even though she did this trying to stall us.

Oh we are .. it's just time consuming and thought we could address a daycare request quicker if she would comply. That's really the only reason DH even asked her in the first place.
