14yo Step Son Having Sex

My wife tells me today that a parent of my ss friend called and basically told her that he was sexually active. We have had the talk about safe sex, and even gave him condoms. Talk was more like, "Don't have sex, BUT if you do be smart." The friends parent said that she had heard that he may have had a pregnancy scare, too! What are your opinions for the next step?

Put condoms in the bathroom, make sure they are known they are there. Talk to him. No babies!!!

@crew7mom,
I believe it was at her house. They are very well supervised and our house, and I THINK they are at Dad's. I think the first thing we can do is cut off visitation at girlfriends, but I feel like they will find a place. This is just an issue where we can hope and trust our guidance is enough.

Remind him about satutory rape. He could be labeled for life. I'm a catholic but sometimes the pragmatic view gets attention!

Supervision? The only kids having sex at that age are kids whose parents let them out of their site. Simply don't. Problem solved.

The best thing to do - have a place to put condoms and refill as necessary no questions. Remind him often if he gets someone pregnant he is at her mercy for 18+ years.

Take him in to your local Planned Parenthood office, and say "*insert name* thinks he is ready to have sex," They will take care of him. They do a great educational talk, give him some condoms, show him how to use them, answer questions, and generally educate him. And always be ready to communicate about sex.

I have 2 teen mothers in the house, and the teen baby daddys are nowhere to be found.

(Of course the one who got my 13 year old pg was prosecuted, he was 20).

I served on a jury of a satutory rape case. The parents of the girl file charges. The girl was 15 yrs old the boy at the time of the incounter was 18, by one day. In Texas if the ages are within 3years of each other and both partys are under 18 its legal. The boy was over one day to old. So that made it rape. By texas laws. The girl admitted to willing having sex with him and that she lied to him about her age. So by law he was found guilty and will be a registered sex offender the rest of his life. I was sick to my stomach. I hope I never get call to jury duty again. Because sometimes the law sucks.

Here, if a child under age 16 has sex, it is a crime and they will be arrested if cops are involved. let him know that you are going to call the police on him and the lil tramp he had sex with.

You need to let him know what he's getting into.

My SD16's almost 21-yr-old former boyfriend is going to court for Carnal Knowledge of a Minor (I'm thinking more than one count - he goes for the young, dumb ones) tomorrow. Here's hoping the judge throws the book at him and sentences him to 10 years hard labor. It sucks for his (soon to be) TWO kids, but he's the legal adult who is chasing 15 yr olds.

And perhaps you should establish more trusted relationship with your son and talk more about sex
