HAPPY TUESDAY! time to show ourselves some appreciation!!!

i havent been around much lately, but something struck me last night. there seems to be some negativity when it comes to body image. sunny does her tone-up-tuesdays blog, which i love, but she has her ups and downs as do most people struggling with weight, and it truly saddens me when she's got her down days. jess' sd is always pointing out her weight and veins. and i dont like it!!! soooo.....

how about we take just a moment and brag on ourselves for what we see in the mirror each day? what is something that is truly unique and special about you physically? yes i know looks are superficial, but it does help give you a little boost. everyone has parts of their appearance that they are self-conscious about - so what are you *NOT* self conscious about? what about your reflection do you LIKE?

i'll start -
my eyes. they are green. but not just any green, an awesome, funky olive green! (side note - strangely enough, lurch has my eye color - everyone else related to them has either blue or brown!)
my teeth. i spent 34 years with crooked teeth, and two+ long, painful years in braces. as of last year, i can finally smile without covering my mouth and i'm loving it!

come on ladies, share some self-loving today!!!!

My long naturally curly hair that I get a lot of compliments on. And my butt- it's a result of working out. It's perky and cute. DH loves it. And I get a lot of compliments on it too!

I have great legs! I mean, really great legs Smile

Oh, and my boobs are awesome! The ONLY good thing about my illness-related weight gain is my giant rack !!!

you are more than welcome! i think your sd is one h3ll of a brat when it comes to her commenting on your weight/food. i figured it was time to redirect towards the positive - you know me, kumbaya and all Wink

Same here Gimlet. I don't spend alot of time dolling myself up so not alot of time infront of the mirror and I don't really see what DH and the rest see.

I do have awesome blonde hair and pushing 50 it still feels soft and I take really good care of it.

I also have amazing tits! The are only B's but they fit my body and are still high and perky. No saggers here!

Btw, I'm the same with makeup and getting myself ready quick, the only thing that holds me up actually leaving the house is getting *DD2* ready!

I hate looking in the mirror. All I see are flaws. And I do my damndest to NOT be in a picture, be at the back of the group and half hidden, or have my face slightly turned. Blech. But I'll give it a whirl...

My eyes are a kind of dark olive with gold flecks and a deep blue-gray ring around the outside. I've always considered them the best part of my face and could rock a burka. LOL

I have always loved my feet. Yes, my FEET. Size 9, but not overly wide. Nicely shaped toes that are always pedicured, and double toes rings (silver) on the second toe of each foot. They look great in a pair of skimpy, high-heeled sandals. My DH has never been a foot man, but even he says I have pretty feet and will give me foot rubs and do other nice things to my feet. }:)

DH says I have a purty mouth. LOL!! He says my lips look like they were made for kissing.

I have awesome, thick hair. I take good care of it, but it's thick and blonde and I get tons of compliments still.
I have great boobs. Really not deflated or too saggy at my 51 years either.
Been told I have a nice ass. Guess it's better than saying I am an ass Smile

There is hot guy at work that is 11 years younger than me that hits on me constantly. He thinks we are the same age Smile Smile

Aw Tuff! I'm sorry I make you sad when I struggle with my weight journey! Here, I will try to make you feel better by telling you what I see in the mirror Smile

I *love* my eyes. They're real big and almond shaped, framed by super, super long eyelashes (top and bottom are long).

The colour of em are like Gimmys, (hugs to Gim btw) they change colour with what I'm wearing. Blue, green, grey. I've always thought that was kinda cool!

Oh I also love my cupid bow lips, gorgeous shape and also colour, I've never had to wear lipstick as they are a natural dark pink. Awesome, *and* saves money on makeup! Lol Wink
