Of course it was too good to be true!
A while back I posted how DH went off on a 4 day holiday with SS13 & I couldn't go with as the 2 good catteries in our area were full up so I couldn't leave my furkids.I was delighted with this and had a peaceful 4 days enjoying the peace, cleanliness & quiet & the company of my cats.DH came back from said holiday looking totally frazzled as SS had been his usual "charming" self (read spoilt, entitled brat-totally BOTH bio parents fault).
The arrangement was BM was to take SS on holiday for 7 days (at her request) once SS was back, but then she cancelled at the last minute. Greedy me was totally disappointed as was looking forward to a whole 7 days of not seeing stepbrat
On a separate issue SS is becoming increasingly insolent & just doesn't do a damn thing DH tells him,now I don't mind so much as most of the time I don't get involved as have disengaged to a large degree thanks to all the helpful info I have read on various posts on here.Sometimes though his disregard for what DH is telling him to do impacts on our home life & that pisses me off to no end. Prime example was last week SS13 was at the mall (BM's day until & then was due to catch the bus to ours as he has football training and it's closer to our house so would save BM running backwards & forwards -yes ridiculous her day her responsibility to sort out transport but that would be a whole post on its own). DH comes home from work 04:30pm & says he had a text from SS earlier if he could come home at 5pm so DH said fine (baring in mind football trading starts at 6pm & this kid is never ever home on time when he goes to the mall). Next thing it's 05:15pm and no SS (shock,horror-not!). SS calls and says he is on the bus and coming over with his GF and DH needs to run her home before football. This girl lives on the other side of the next town.DH says that wasn't the agreement blah, blah gets all annoyed because SS makes his own arrangements.I just said to him calmly " we wouldn't be in this situation if you didn't agree to do BM a favour & if you & BM bothered to raise SS to respect what you both say as the final say with no arguements". On top of everything this was the first time I met GF as we had invited her to a BBQ in the next few weeks for a proper meeting (DH met her the week before when SS turned up with her at DH work). I think SS has too much freedom,is too young to be in such a serious relationship & things will only get worse. So we had SS rushing around getting ready for football,GF crying in front room as apparently it was the anniversary of her mum's death & I was stressed out as it was as I had just started my 3rd IVF cycle.Happy days!

Sally I agree with you,it's just not the way I was brought up.I would never have dreamed of telling my parents what's happening in their house. If I had I think I would of got such a slap that my head would of spun on my shoulders!

I agree tommar24365 it is a very bad thing, baring in mind the opened condom that was found in his school trouser pocket.Sally I have said to DH if SS ends up being a baby daddy I totally do not want to know it's a car crash waiting to happen.
Wow sounds like he found a GF
Wow sounds like he found a GF in a great mental place. That is way to much responsibility for a 13 year old. You think he will knock up this girl before 16?
