SD9 got caught

CompletelyPuzzled's picture

Last night, I caught SD9 getting my DD in trouble. I knew something was up because DD kept getting out of her bed and coming into the living room. She had already been asleep twice. It is very rare for DD to get up once she is sleeping. So, I could hear some noise coming from the room and I wondered what was going on. I got DD back to sleep after a few minutes (just relieved she was sleepy or I could have been up all night with her) When I put DD back in the room, I turned one of our cordless phones on intercom and put it in the room with her. I hid it under the sheet in her room. SD9 also shares this room with her and she was in bed. I went back out to the living room and I listened in.

After about 5 minutes, I heard SD9 get up and wake my DD up! She said, "DD, your mommy wants you. Go see what she wants."

So here comes my DD walking out of the bedroom again. She was barely awake. I lost it. I didn't say a word to SD9. I went out to the garage and told DH what I heard. His response, "You shouldn't have been listening in." I had to ask him to repeat that because I was so mad. I told him to go in there and talk to SD9 or I was going too. He did. She got in trouble and is grounded for the next few days. Plus, she has to go to bed early for the whole weekend. (She hates going to be early.)

I put DD back to bed and came to our room to start getting ready for bed. DH comes in and apologizes for his reaction. He said he was just shocked by the whole thing.

I really don't know what to think. He has been really strict on both SDs this summer. But, this just caught me off guard.

:jawdrop:

yeah, at that point I'm pretty sure I would be putting DD into my bed to sleep with me, as apparently it's the only way to ensure she gets the rest she needs. Sorry DH, enjoy the couch, dumbass!!!

His response, "You shouldn't have been listening in."

Wow, that's almost as good as "I'll mix some laxative in Captain Shitty pants water" solution from poster's DH yesterday!

Thankfully he redeemed himself and meted out punishment to SD.. Geesh!

Permanent Nanny Cam time!!

Typical Disney Dad response.

BTW the Nanny Cams are for YOUR benefit. I've known for quite a while that with the Disney Dad Ostrich, he could see his darlin' commit an axe murder live on camera and it would be:

"That'a not MY kid"
"Someone must have put him/her up to it"
"Are you sure there isn't something wrong with the camera?"
"How DARE you spy on MY KID!"

That little brat needs to be OUT of the room with your DD! Even if she has to sleep on a pallet on the floor of the kitchen.

I'd have probably yanked that little fuckatard SS9 out of bed and thrown her in a pantry or closet to sleep.

Now where did she get an idea like that?
I would tell my DH that if he is an idiot and stupid. If I cannot listen to conversations between minor children in my own home he can just sleep in the car because I don't want him to listen to me ever again.
