Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Wow that is what a size 10
Wow that is what a size 10 looks like? She looks great!
Calvin Klein usually has very thin models, so compared to the size 0, she may look "plus" size.
ANY size is beaitful. As long as you are healthy.......
Hmm so she's a size 10. That
Hmm so she's a size 10. That means that she's probably 6 '7" tall.
Oh come the f*ck on! If
Oh come the f*ck on!
If she's a plus size, then I must be considered elephant-sized!!!!
This is so whacked!
"nearly average" is right!
"nearly average" is right! she's still under what the REAL average dress size is!!!
Me too! And before I turned
Me too! And before I turned 30, met DH and quit smoking I was always a size 2. I think this model looks way better then I do now!
However I think its really messed up how we see ourselves. No matter what size we are, we still see ourselves as "bigger".
I read an interesting article
I read an interesting article once about how we perceive we look vs. how we really look. They took an average woman and took her picture every day for a month. She kept a log of how she felt about herself each day, so day one she wrote that she felt really good in this particular outfit and loved the way these jeans fit her. Day five, she felt fat and bloated, day 8 her hair looked like crap and she felt like crap etc.
The crazy thing was that when you looked at the month's worth of pictures, she looked the SAME (other than her clothes changing)
I wonder if it's a Juniors
I wonder if it's a Juniors size 10?
Yes, she is plus sized. To an
Yes, she is plus sized. To an oompa loompa.
Give me a break.
.... I can see her
.... I can see her ribs!
Doesn't even look good.
Boy, I'd LOVE to be
Boy, I'd LOVE to be plus-sized like HER
Plus sized models are usually
Plus sized models are usually a size 10 - 14. The fashion industry is whacked up. Real plus size is 16W and up. Even models for plus sized clothing stores/catalogs are size 10 - 14 and most of them are hourglass shaped. Within the plus size world there is discrimination. Magazines and catalogs catering to the plus world doesn't show apple or pear shaped women.
I agree that this does include more of a breadth of sizes in marketing.
Calvin Klein does have a plus size line that goes up to size 26W.
