The kids cleaned out their rooms... and took EVERYTHING...
So Skids are 14 and 15 and hardly come over any more. We are planning on selling the house in the spring and have started packing and decluttering to prepare to sell. Their rooms are full of unopened gifts they have gotten over the years (have been with DH since they were 5 and 6). Tons of stuff that they are way too old for now but would be perfect for our DS 6. What does DH do? He asks them to go through their rooms and take home the stuff they want... they took home EVERYTHING. I swear.. just to spite DS. Stuff they will NEVER use.. stuff for 6 year olds!
Life Insurance Requirement in Custody Agreement
So I had to look up holiday schedule for the year for Skids and happened to glance at the section that talks about life insurance. I had assumed (you know where that will get you) that the life insurance requirement was just for the kids as minors. But it states that both parents must maintain a $75000 policy with the kids as beneficiaries for life.

OT Problems with BS6 in Summer School
I've tried taking away his computer and tablet but I am having no luck improving my son's behavior. He doesn't listen and disrupts class. He wants to do things HIS way and always wants to be in charge. I enrolled him in Cub Scouts since I know they work on doing things as a team. But the biggest problem is getting him to control his emotions. He has a nuclear reaction (crying) over the smallest of things. I tell him that I'm going to put him in time out for something and he shoots back 'I'll put YOU in time out'.

Separating Finances... what else should I do...
I mostly lurk but could use some advice...
We have a joint account but I make about 3x what my husband makes. I'm ok with that... if I want a more expensive car or more expensive house I am willing to take on more of that burden. And I don't mind spending some money on the skids but it's getting out of control.

And BTW.. the kids want Chipoltle...
So DH is working tonight. I'm more than happy to watch SS13 and SD12.. I'm more than happy to fix them dinner. But DH informs me 'the kids want Chipoltle for dinner'
Me: do they have money?
DH: No.
Me: Then they aren't getting Chipoltle.
Seriously?!?! Does he think they can demand what's for dinner? They can request something that I would make but I'm not taking them to Chipoltle. They already got pizza last night.

Kansas Shaming Non Custodial Parents.. even those that pay their support on time
Check this out:

I need 10 words... 10 words... 10 words....
Pizza....
Ok.. this is probably a stupid thing to complain about but I come home from work and skids are eating pizza. I guess the ordered it today with their own money. I was planning on ordering pizza for dinner tonight! Now I feel like saying 'I'm not hungry' and just letting them scrounge for food in the house later (there is plenty they can make for themselves). DH works late tonight. Or maybe I should just take BS4 in the car and going out to eat somewhere.

Does CS drop much when you have another child?
DH pays $550/mo for his 2 kids with BM. We have had our new child and I'm wondering if he needs to go have his child support reevaluated now that we have a child of our own?
Does it change much when the NCP has another child?
I'm in Missouri btw.

OT: Who are our Low Carb Steppers?
I'm gearing up to take a crack at Low Carb/High Fat. I'm one of those people that can't eat just a little of the 'wrong foods'. So I was thinking of just cutting out almost all carbs and seeing if what 'they' say is true about the cravings go away.
I know there are a couple people out there that are doing this and I was hoping for some support and motivation

Life Insurance with Skids as beneficiaries as specified in CO
So I had to pull out DH's custody agreement to see who got the kids for the summer holidays this year and I took a closer look at what was on there for life insurance.
It says 'both parents will keep a $75,000 policy with skids as beneficiaries for the entire life of the parent'
Maybe I am sounding like a wicked step mother but WTF?!? That's bullshit! Once those kids are out of the nest then they are on their own! Life insurance should go to the surviving spouse and any minor children left at home.
