1) Ugly, nasty BM. For reasons of pure vanity. I don't think this would reflect badly on DH; BM IS ugly and nasty, but he had really low self-esteem at the time. I didn't exactly make stellar choices in the past either.

2) This is a tough one. A 7-year-old princess has the chance to change IF she actually starts being parented. It's too late for the 15-year-old. BUT, if the 7-year-old princess is NOT parented properly, that's way more years stuck living with a pampered brat.
