It's time. They're here. The skids. I dread this week. I would like to say it can't be worse than last but sd19 is home from college. No telling what drama she will try to create. At least she doesn't come eow with the other two.

I shouldn't have such a negative attitude. I'm completely disengaged. Only way to cope.

I feel like we are walking on eggshells when sd14 and ss10 are here. Both of my kids have opted for other plans tonight. Bd14 has asked to stay at a friend's until the last possible second she has to come home. If she could get to and from school she would ask to stay there for the week. Sadly, I would probably let her.

It kills me that my girls have tried so hard to be accepting, inclusive and create a blended family only to be rebuffed. It isn't like the skids are mean to them, they just don't clean up after themselves and leave messes that my bd's don't want to deal with. The skids say they are treated meanly here so the bd's are of the "why bother anymore?" mindset.

So am I.
