BM trying to get dad to pay half of groceries
I was in line at my local super market and the woman and front of me was on the phone holding up the line. Her total was 200 odd dollars she keeps waiting for someone to answer. Her BF or new husband was rubbing her from behind trying to calm her down. She was so obnoxiously loud everyone could hear her. Here is what I overheard below.
" Hey I'm at the store getting thanksgiving dinner and I need you to pay half. I can't write a check until I know you are going to give me some money to put in the bank. I don't care what the CO says thanksgiving is my day and if you don't help me out you are going to be the reason your kids have a bad thanksgiving. Don't worry about how I use my CS I take care of my kids and that's all you need to know. Oh ok fine don't get mad when I have to explain to them the reason their having a crappy thanksgiving is because their daddy only cares about his new family and we will see how they feel when they go on Facebook and see how great a thanksgiving you had. Their not coming to your house its my freaking day! Screw you!".
She asked the cashier to put some things back. She put back a lot of groceries but kept her acrylic nail kit, bottles of booze and cigarettes.
If that was your BM I understand why you might not want to claim her. I was just tapping my feet and shaking my head in disgust. My BM is far from great but I'm glad DH doesn't have to deal with that one. My prayers go out to the SM that has to deal with her.

What a bizzaro scenario! She waits till she's at the checkout to ask. She thinks she has the right to ask?! Annnd she's going to tell the kiddos that Daddy dearest is to blame while she paints her nails, drinking booze and a ciggy hanging out the side of her mouth... lol oh lawd!!!

This is the BM we dealt with until we got custody and never answer any of her phone calls now. SS17 now wishes there was a law against this behavior and DH suggested he start writing letters to his congressman (lol).

The other day, I was behind a woman in line. She had a TON of crap on the belt. They rang it up, and had the majority of it bagged and in the cart at the bagger end. And then she asked, "What's my total?"
She was up to $278, she turned around and told me her limit was $300, and asked if I could I give her maybe $20 dollars, to save the time of having to unload and void things she had bought?!?!
There were still things on the belt to be rung up. It was a bottle of John Frieda shampoo, a family pack of steak, and the biggest box of Goldfish I had ever seen.
I said no. The person in back of me said no.
