UPDATE:  He wants an opinion for his GF's countertops after she received a couple estimates with conflicting advice.

Whew!  At least it wasn't a repeat of last year.  But still we never get anything reciprocated!

As I might have posted before, Chef's oldest half brother   borrowed $900 last year.  He did pay it back, but I had to "remind" him that his self imposed due date had passed.  He acted perturbed that I mentioned it at the time.  He gave some story about changing banks which really didn't hold water.

Well come to find out, Chef meet up with his other half siblings and told them about "Seasoned Citizen" borrowing money.   Apparently all their jaws feel open and it was revealed to Chef that SC has developed a GAMBLING PROBLEM in his old age (he's 80 now)

Well last night, SC called on Chef's phone similar to the way he did when he asked to borrow money before.  Didn't say what he wanted.   He only calls on MY phone of he has computer issues. 

Chef was already in bed and sleeping.   I told Chef about the call this a.m. and he immediately said "he probably wants to borrow money again. "  Which we are both against now that we know he has a gambling problem.  We actually live between two casinos that are frequented almost exclusively by senior citizens.

It truly never ends!  In my family NO ONE borrows money from each other except my ne'er do well younger sister who is a lot like a cross between JRI's SD and AlmostGone's SD, Little Idiot.

Just UGH!  Probably time to block his number as nothing is ever reciprocal with Chef's family.  As a side note, when Chef was talking to his siblings, he mentioned that I'm now retired from my county job and that I have a large hot tub!  His half sisters have never indicated they want anything to do with me except for one who came over this time last year.  She just walked into my house while I was washing my hair!  Then she asked for some firewood that I had to stack.   

She did help stack so there's that, but I haven't seen her in a year.  His sisters are only interested in drinking around their pool and show no interest in associating with me so I hope that sticks as I feel I have nothing in common with them.
