Ah..yes...tis is the season for empty boxes...err I mean promises.

Every year Sd has a Christmas list for our house and one for Beaver's.  Oh cool...Our house is the bigger ticket items and her mom's is the less value items.  I get it...we have more discretionary income than Beaver...so no problems.

Every FLIPPPING year Beaver flakes out and doesn't get SD the easiest of items.  EVERY YEAR...Christmas has been renamed by me..the season of empty promises and boxes..or Christmas gift ghosting season.

For a solid year...SD has been asking Beaver for a makeup vanity for her room.

First is was..if you clean your room you will get one.  SD cleaned room no vanity.

Then it was..I will get it for your birthday...Birthday comes and goes..no vanity

Then it was I will get one when we paint your room...room still not painted and no vanity.

Then finally it was ...I got your vanity but its a Christmas gift.

SD was disappointed it was a Christmas gift..but hey it was a vanity.

In my best Gomer Pyle voice...SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE..

Christmas ....NO VANITY.

Seriously...ya told the kid ya bought it ..and nope...no vanity

Next up..

SD asked Beaver for two perfumes.  Nothing fancy...think this day and ages..Love's Baby Soft...you get the picture.

Beaver tells SD she has ordered the perfume on Amazon. 

No perfume arrives...

Beaver than tells SD she ordered the perfume but is a Christmas gift.

again in my best Gomer Pyle voice...SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE..

NO PERFUME ON CHRISTMAS.

UGH...SERIOUSLY.

SD did get some eye lashes, a face mask she can't use...(you know due to acne that her dermatologist is treating)  and some other stupid thing I can't remember.  Nothing that she asked for...NOTHING.

Oh and SD got some Starbucks gift cards that Beaver promptly confiscated and added to HER Starbucks account.  Oh but Beaver will only use that for SD's Starbucks...SURE YOU WILL THERE BEAVER.  Even SD said..ya she is going to use that for her Starbucks habit.  

Beaver was also in a snit again this year because SD refused to handover the money that Beaver SR and Mr. Beaver gave SD for Christmas.  Even SD knows if she hands it to Beaver "for safe keeping" Beaver will spend it.  SD keeps all her money over here at our house..you know because WE DONT' SPEND IT.
