SD16 telling random people our address
SD16 has a history of talking to random people she finds on the internet, a couple examples are:
1. a few years ago she met some Sweedish girl on instagram and proceeded to have a 3 hour long phone call with her which we found on the phone bill when they tried to charge us almost $1,000 for international calling
2. our parental control app on her phone saw instagram messages back and forth with some random account asking her for pictures, which she claims she never sent, her excuse was he was a troll account and she was just wasting his time for fun
*side note she was banned from istagram after the first incident then earned it back after a couple years and then the second incident happened
Since then BM now has SD16 on her phone plan and deals with any monitoring she feels is necessary.
Yesterday while DH and I were away our ring video doorbell notified us of motion at the front door and we saw a video of SD16 on her phone talking to someone and she was basically giving them a tour. As she came back into the house you can hear the *male* voice on the phone say "what is your address" and then she is gone, so that's all we have. DH saw the video yesterday but couldn't understand what the guy had said, and I just rewatched it today and figured it out.
I'm beyond irritated, frustrated, and shaken to think that she's AGAIN talking to some random person from the internet (which I'm 90% sure this is the case, and not just someone from school because this is just her way), giving them a flipping TOUR of our house and what we have in our house and possibly giving them our address. I pray that she didn't actually tell this person our address!!
Why why why why does she have to make such crappy decisions?!

There was a case in my old
There was a case in my old town where a guy ended up coming over from New Zealand and showed up at the door with some pretty scary items.
Along with talking to her about the safety issue.. I guess making sure your home is secure in other ways is all you can do.
Is she mentally disabled where she might not understand the danger?
She does not have any
She does not have any diabilities.
I think this all stems from her extreme anxiety and lack of self confidence. She's been searching for acceptance and approval from anyone she can find it from. She just started on an anti depressant/ anti anxiety med, so I'm hopeful she'll start growing more.
Thankfully I'm mostly work from home so I'm almost always here and we do have 2 large black scary dogs, that will hopefully scare anyone away that were to show up. I just feel so unsure about being in my own dang house now!
This kid should not have a phone period or access
To internet. She loses that privilege automatically in her home. She's giving out your address to strangers online, giving them video tours ofnyour home and talking to strangers online who could be paedophiles.
what bio mum is doing so called monitoring her phone isn't doing much. Phone should have no internet or service and only able to call police/ambulance and emergency services only.
She should not have phone or internet access while at your house
She should not have phone or internet access while at your house. Sending personal info about my house to strangers would be a hill to die on for me. Does she have a house key? If so, change the locks. Make sure your house your house is secure.
In my area we have had two recent cases where "tween" age girls went missing, and in both cases they were found with older men who they met on the internet. Sometimes these men on the internet follow through and meet these girls in person. You are wise to be concerned.
