So any tips on how to deal?
So my SD is 8 years old. She has gotten super jealous of her baby sister 1 year old. She has gotten it into her head that she needs the exact same amount of attention as her baby sister and has gone to extreme legnths to get it. For instance hitting her sister, snatching toys, sucking her thumb, being picky, throwing full out thrashing tantrums( where she hit her sister during) . Now she has ADHD and her bio mom abandoned her back in 2016 so she has a lot of anger still about that. We do a good amount of family things with her we do one on one time with her and we have clear and considerate rules and expectations in place and they haven't changed in those 4 years.
My question is how do I cope? Because she keeps getting more and more attention seeky and I'm scared she's going to try and seriously harm her sister or me.

Has anyone taken SD to a therapist to help her work out her anger (and probably fear) about her mother abandoning her?
If not, start there. Being abandoned by a parent is extremely traumatic, and introducing a new baby probably just escalated the fear SD has that her stable parent is trying to replace her. The source of her jealousy and anger has to be addressed. Addressing the symptoms will just be a never-ending task that never works long-term.
She has a therapist.
Her therapist keeps promoting behavioral management techniques that we use. Everyone in the family is understanding of how traumatized she must be about her bio mom abandoning her.I've been her biggest supporter for years now. I love this girl, we go to family therapy also and our therapist keeps saying use the behavioral techniques and stay firm.
She needs an Therapist
Fast as possible. Like really working at it. Every week or so

I remember after my DD was born SD was riding in the back with her and squeezed her hand so hard that it turned purple she let out this deathly scream that terrified me it took me a lot to not just freak out and smack the little brat. She did it again in the house a couple months later after that they were separate for a while
