Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I'm sitting in my classroom with a basket full of cards, candy and flowers from my students and coworkers.
Growing up, my parents always gave my sister and I small boxes of candy and coloring books on Valentine's Day. We always exchanged cards and candy with our classmates. I'm 51, so this isn't a new concept.
In my opinion, having the day include more than just lovers, is a good thing.
I agree, it is for lovers. I
I agree, it is for lovers. I say that as I stay home today with my broken leg and my bitch went into heat and keeping her and my male separated is a big ordeal. I ordered a lot of take out from Longhorns today ha! Us and the teens -but seriously it's because we can't leave dogs unnatended and end up with pups we never intended. I do have two full AKC show/performance dogs but she is only a year old tomorrow and health tests not finished. No way in hell are we backyard breeders-we must bide time and finish titles/health clearances first.
