It is done... Oops... Nope spoke too soon...
They never really grow up...
So, stepspawn turned 18 a few months ago... H has been traveling every weekend since for hs graduation, birthday party, going away to join the navy party, tote you around to every relative to be showered with praise...
Folks, the results are in. 6 days. He made it 6 days of bootcamp. Whomp whomp whomp.
Hmmm... Maybe bm can get him a job at the truck stop she works at as part of her work release program? Or do you suppose there is a special COD program in the armed forces that lets them do/not do as they please but still afford the same benefits as those who succeed?

The Military
no longer is a reform school UNLESS said recruit is extremely bright and only slightly wayward. They no longer take in POS skids like Chef's ne'er do wells nor your SS.
You must be mistaken, my
You must be mistaken, my stepspawn is extremely intelligent... Perhaps to his detriment. Clearly he was too good for this...
*sighs, wishes H a goodnight and rolls over. I have real work in the am.
The military doesn't do lazy.
The military doesn't do lazy. He was too lazy to last a full week.
I know a guy who did not make
I know a guy who did not make it one day
...because you mean I shouldn't celebrate with coke the day before lol?
Touche.... * starts making
Touche.... * starts making 'you did your best' party banners...
So what's the plan now for
So what's the plan now for the COD who couldn't make it a week? Is your husband now embarrassed that he took the stepspawn on the grand praise tour of all the relatives? Or was it the Navy's fault?
I wish this was me posting
I wish this was me posting this. My SS18 went to sign up yesterday and did not get signed up by Miltary because according to him 'they want me to finish this extra year at school', which just happens to be what he wants to to too. So convenient. DH knows the recruitment officer personally (as DH is Military and in Personnel) so he will get some feed back about what happened today.
But, congrats OP, now you will get some SS free time
* in this country its all military, navy, army, airforce all under one roof. SS would probably be navy if he got accepted as that's where his trade skill study fits in.
My dad was Army, Husband Navy
My dad was Army, Husband Navy, ExH Airforce, Brother Coast Guard.... If one of my kids or steps ever dropped out/got kicked out of boot camp they better not come home. LOL!!
So not to be biased... Navy
So not to be biased... Navy bootcamp is on the slightly easier side on the range (as far as bootcamps go, not saying it's supposed to be a piece of cake either...)... And he made forking six days?...
It's all a mental game he apparently lost... Best wishes to him... But like my goodness... I hope this is a reality check on working for things you want and that he doesn't turn lazy couch sloth on you.
