Down today.
My morning started with SS9 slamming his bedroom door in my face.
I had gotten up early because our dog wanted to go out. I was checking on SS9, if he was asleep I was going to close his door so our dog wouldn’t bother him. We met at his door. I said oh, you’re up, good morning. SS9 slammed the door closed.
I know SS9 thought I was DH, as he usually takes the early dog duty shift on Saturday mornings. To make matters worse SS9 would open the door every few minutes checking for DH. When DH got up SS9 ran to him to say good morning. Ugh, I understand he’s just a child and I’m the adult but…it hurts.
It’s hard to deal with at times. DH and I have been together for 7 years. SS9 continues to ignore me. DH has spoken to him about this many times, and I have also talked to SS9 about this behavior too. I just don’t get it.
Most times it doesn’t get to me like this but this incident comes after SS9 ignored me last night. He came into the kitchen where DH and I were talking. I asked SS9 what he wanted and he blew right by me and asked DH if he could use the computer.
DH called SS9 on it and told him that he was rude to ignore me and that he should ask me if he could use the computer. SS9 then asked me the question.
Seems like it’s the same issues over and over with SSons, its exhausting.

I would personally take the
I would personally take the door away. SD does the same to me, although not as often as your SS, I tried giving her a taste of her medicine and ignore her but it didn't work. Good Luck!
OMG I could have written that
OMG I could have written that exact post about my SD9. I have also been with DH for 7 years. The girl has always been standoffish and most often just plain ignores my existence. She will search the entire house for DH to ask him a question when I am right there. The funny thing is I will usually say yes to requests more often than DH, all the kids know this, yet she still seeks DH out. Or we will be sitting right next to each other and she comes up and hugs all over him "hi daddy!" It's disgusting. She did that today. Girls are with their mom this weekend. We went to watch SD12's soccer game and SD9 was there and ran up fawning all over DH while ignoring my existence. Then as we left it was "bye daddy!" As I am right next to him. Ugh. I know BM who was walking next to her was just gloating. Damn bitch. If DH notices or I say something then he will make her acknowledgments me. So she does right then, but it doesn't change her future behavior. I have tried not to let it bother me, but like you said, it does. I don't know what to do either! How do make that behavior not worth their while, as a previous poster suggested? I'm sure the behavior is caused (at least in my case) by loyalty issues to BM who hates me and let's it be known to her kids. I just don't know what to do.
DH and I don't know what to
DH and I don't know what to do either. Like you I always firued it was loyalty issues too. DH suggested posting on here, he also suggested talking to SS9's doctor for ideas. The thing is unlike you situation SS9 doesn't do this to me all the time, which makes the times he does do it puzzling to me (and DH).
