Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Ringworm, yes, thank you for
Ringworm, yes, thank you for the correction...and, yes, these are, in fact, things with which I am already familiar.
Know it all too well! When
Know it all too well! When the health insurance was on GG's dime, the Behemoth would take them in for every sniffle as she has a touch of the Munchausen's by proxy.
When the oldest tripped and fell in gym, she took him in for an MRI!!! He merely had some knee bruising! She also tried to scare GG about meningitis as well. Total DRAMA Queen and thusly the skids became drama skids.
And GG would ALWAYS take visitation with them when they had:
projectile vomiting
high fevers
explosive diarrhea
ringworm (fungal infection)
strep throat
unknown rashes/chicken pox, etc
staph infections
The Behemoth is less than clean to say the least. She is infamous for washing clothes, letting them sour/mildew in the washer then throwing them in the dryer to bake that smell and mildew right in!!! To re-wash them would NEVER occur to her!!
When my bios had visitation and were quite ill, I would call my ex-husband(s) and offer to trade a weekend with them since logic would dictate that you don't want to go around spreading germs. They usually accepted and all was well.
Not GG and the Behemoth. The skids used to take delight in pointing out their many aches, pains, athlete's foot, etc. etc.
