Went to a dance last nite & DH is texting skids

We finally get a weekend off from SS & get out to a Halloween dance! DH is on the cell phone with SS! DH is texting the SD's about the Halloween dance too! I mean come on...how cant we enjoy ourselves for 2hrs without them? Tonite when we go out...I am goin to mention that date nite rules apply. Date nite rules are no talk about family, work & kids. Any suggestions on how I can get over the fact that the sk's & BM have to know every thing we do in life??

kids always want to know--not just steps, that might help. BM?? Well it just isn't any of her biz. Does she ask you or do the kids tell her?

Hahaha. Good for you!!! Why does bm have to know everything that goes on in your life? That isn't right and why would she even care?

I would have DH leave his cell phone either at home or lock it in the car. That time should be spent on you and DH, not BM and skids.

We decided together that there would be a "designated b***h" line that only BM uses. Since we have custody of the kids, we don't have to use it very often. It became a problem when we were out to dinner as a family, at church, or whatnot. Once we could afford to, we added a line to our cellphone service that she doesn't know about (yet, but I'm sure the kids will mention daddy's new iphone!). This way, we leave that phone at home at all times and carry it around only when she has them for the weekend.
