why do bm's think that because they exisit, they get to define the boundries for sm and dh as man and wife?
this is really so annoying to me right now!
for example, most wives will speak out of turn and answer a question for dh with out thinking, but if bm is present we lose that wife ability because they dont like it.
like most wives, i have been doing the ground work for getting a list of Pre K places so dh can look at them on his day off, because hes working. but because its for ss, bm expects that dh should do it him self and if i help im over stepping! heaven forbid i help my husband and be a supportive wife unlike the cheating whore she was!
i know there are so many more! what are some funny ones! its friday, im bored at work and i need some laughs!!!

I know it what you mean. My
I know it what you mean. My SD forgot her picture sheet for our house (she does this every year) but a couple of years ago I told her " Fine SD I will call the school and have them leave us one" SD must have told BM.
BM calls the next day and says to H "why does GB have to call the school? why can't you do it?" My H says " I work full time. She takes care of all our kids stuff" BM says "well I work full time and can do it"
Well that is not how our family works. I am the mom of the house (2 BSs with H) and I am the primary caretaker. And who really gives a shit who calls the school, I mean really. So stupid....
When my H told me this I said "well if she doesn't want me to call and go to the school to get things regarding SD then she should stop THROWING OUR STUFF in the garbage!"
Same with Pre K. Who care who does the research, DH is going to check on the schools--that is what really matters.
BTW I still take care of all
BTW I still take care of all SDs stuff. That is how we work as if the kids were all OURS. If she doesn't like it to bad, our house we run it the way we want.
EXACTLY!!!! its such a
EXACTLY!!!!
its such a pissing contest with bm........like she has to prove that ss is her child, i swear if she were a dog she would constantly be lifting her leg on him! hellllllloooooooooo, why would i want her kid when i can have my own that have nothing to do with her? i care for ss only because he is in my home and i love him out of my love for dh! its not like i saw ss and said hey im going to find out who his dad is so i can make him fall in love with me and then take him away from his mother!
I take care of these things in our home too!, just like you we dont change a thing and to hell with skipping to her beat.
maybe if our bm did more than fight with her bf and get drunk in the garage i wouldnt have to do these things..........as the mother and some one who has nothing to do alllllll day she is the one who should have got a list together!
Now THAT Was funny SMNikki!

Oh, I so agree with both of ya'll in regards to this. I'm a stay at home wife (I say I'm retired, but right now I'm just not wanting to go out to work.) I'm able to do these things...research for DH for SS's health and welfare. He's working 40 hours a week. BM only works 20 hours a week so she does have time to take SS to the doctor. She just thinks that because DH is supposed to provide health insurance, he's supposed to take SS to ALL the doctors' appointments as well. Uh, NOPE...BM has SS just about all the time. DH gets SS every other weekend and that's it.
~*~Cheer up! It could be worse.
I cheered up, & it got worse!~*~
Oh yeah, and it extends to
Oh yeah, and it extends to the in-laws who think I shouldn't have any opinion about the way they treat DH...in your dreams!
We often communicated jointly, esp. in writing, and DH got accused of having me "speak" for him. Hello, it was a joint discussion,
decision and outcome! That's the way it is and should be.
Yep. You are so on today
Yep. You are so on today Nikki!
SD failed last year and we had the opportunity to get her to pass. Over the summer we could have signed her up for online classes and got her on to high school. NOPE......BM wouldn't have it. And can you guess why? Yep, because I'm the one that did the leg work. HEAVEN forbid that SMJ do anything good for my SD. So now SD is back in the 8th grade. She's 15 in the 8th grade.
SMJ Failing 8th grade must
SMJ
Failing 8th grade must be another common feature of this stepmess. I keep seeing that on here.
My SS repeated 8th grade and failed the 2nd time too because old lazy BM couldn't get him up in the morning, didn't monitor him and ignored his poor school performance. SS finally ended up in court for truancy. Of course, DH was not consulted ever about any of this, it was covered up. Finally, he was put in charter school (a year later than DH wanted) and he is doing OK. After a year or two of hell, though, with court and drug tests and lock-up and punching holes in walls, etc.
DH and I get letters from
DH and I get letters from the ss's BM telling us how to brush his teeth and wash his hands and sometimes they even go into things like... in case you can't tell he's been playing in the dirt and needs a bath... urghh! A few years back when ss was potty training, DH and I had him out of pull ups/diapers and we'd send him to visit BM and she would tell us that she isn't going to continue because the 2 yr ss said he didn't want to pee on the potty!!! WTF... I think this BM would have her leg up as well if she were a dog, but as it stands she's a snake and just slithers while shedding her skin everywhere.
"for example, most wives
"for example, most wives will speak out of turn and answer a question for dh with out thinking, but if bm is present we lose that wife ability because they dont like it."
I would do it anyways, honestly. BM has no bearing on what comes out of my mouth and when. She can dislike what she wants about me, or what I do. I'm done tiptoeing on eggshells for that chick. She's not allowed to hold this house hostage...but that's the main reason why she can't stand me. I refuse to allow her to have control over me or my household. She pushes those boundaries all the time though...it's like we're dealing with a small child...temper tantrums and all.
