It has finally happened. The SDs have come to live with us full time. After a lot of mucking around by the BM (trying to put one over on us and the government and still receive payments for the girls after getting rid of them!) Her desire to have freedom has overridden her desire for money and she has got all the legal stuff done correctly. I have become in her words a skank and my DH's boss and she will never speak to me again. All I can say is yay I wont have to listen to anymore of her BS. We collected the girls from school today and surprise surprise she made an appearance (she just lives across the road from the school. There were tears from her and when we dropped into her place to collect the girls stuff the waterworks continued "You don't realise how hard this is for me" she sobbed to DH.
Well she should have thought of that before she decided to abandon her kids! Anyway, I dont think it has sunk into the SDs (5 and 7) what it actually all means (living with us and only seeing BM every second weekend) and I think it will hit hard when it does. So, a new chapter in my life. I am hoping that it will work out. The girls aren't bad or horrible but it will mean more stress on me and mine and DH's relationship. I just hope we can make it work well. DH is sensible and is happy to make rules for the girls so at this stage it is looking good. At least DH wont have the threat of BM leaving with the girls hanging over him so he may be a bit more relaxed. A time of adjustment for us all
