OSD gave birth yesterday to grand baby #6.

She decided not to give baby the middle name of the Grandpa whose name she did not know. Looks like he got BM's brothers middle name.

Her DH is also in jail right now so he was not able to attend the birth. He does have a court date tomorrow so I'm sure they have their fingers crossed so that he can get out and meet his 5th child. (2 by another woman, new baby and the 2 he has with OSD ages 2 and 3).

OSD has court on Wednesday for her second theft from work charge. Wondering if she will use child birth as an excuse to get the court date extended again? Or if she will just get probation again?

And OSD apparently goes to the same "lady doctor" as me. We live in a big city. Of all the places... and I LOVE this doctors office. Sad

congrats Granny...... wow DH now has 2 very very small grand kids.... babysitting them would be rough Wink

I know...

I think there is hope for MSD (and her 2 kids and 2 baby daddys) because she at least went to school and got her BSN. She has always been motivated and is very smart.

YSD *may* have a chance because her baby daddy is in the military (well still needs to finish boot camp). But I think it will be because of her relying on baby daddy, not because of anything that she actually does for herself.

OSD is just like BM and I don't think there is any hope for her. Dumb decision after another...and then there is her DH that will drag her down.

I think MSD must have realllllly loved her labor and delivery clinicals while in school, huh? Guessing she was absent on the days they discussed birth control in high school??

Birth control??? What's birth control??? It's much easier to have sex, get pregnant, have a baby, apply for welfare then it is to remember to take birth control.

That was never her intention, it was just her trying to take a stab at her dad.

Well since YSD said she refers to me as Step Monster how does "Grammy Step Monster" sound?

Ooh, I love that!

SD's kids probable refer to me as, 'the woman that mom's dad is married to', because that's all DH is to them, SD's dad.

Even though DH has help to create this mess this is also part of the reason he has stepped so far back when it comes to his kids.

Trying-

I can't speak for them.

For me it's been hard to be a "parental figure" or "authority figure" over someone who I am not even old enough to be their mom. Sometimes I have a hard time seeing them as "kids" because they they are adults like me.
