Skids left for school this morning, which should be the end of our week with them. Here is a recap of how this shitshow went:

This entire week was SS pouting because DH actually punished him for the first time in 7 years (took his gaming cords away for 1 whole day! *eyeroll*), SD being involved in an incident at school where she was the one essentially bullying, and basically SS not doing anything he's told to do. This morning I came out of our bedroom and SS's door was open (DH has told him 1 million times to close it), the air fryer tray was dirty on the counter from SS, SS's clothes are still in the dryer because for some reason he decided he needed to do his laundry the night before he leaves, and now his basket is taking up our small laundry room. SD's meds are still sitting here because SS was supposed to take them to Crazy's this morning before school, but of course he couldn't get up on time so now he's coming back here after school to get them, and honestly I don't want to see him anymore because I'm over this kid right now. It's like he's purposefully trying to do the opposite of what he's supposed to. I honestly wasn't too worried about the teen years with these 2, but I was naive, and unfortunately half of this crap with SS is probably the result of DH never enforcing rules, so now SS thinks he doesn't have to listen.

I'm just done. Honestly exhausted by it and I'm not a kid person by nature, so it feels like these kids only bring stress and zero joy- except on Monday when SS was talking about colleges he wants to go to (out of state!!!!).

I  would put his medicine in the mailbox and lock the front door. He can pick it up and leave. If its anti-stink medicine, its not working. LOL. We are thinking about getting an air fryer so that SD18s diet of fried foods will do less damage to our kitchen. Does it work? Is there less cleaning of old oil off the stove hood?

Get that air fryer! No grease at all on the stove or counter really, and no smell. She actually makes fried food at home?? That's kind of impressive. lol. And really unhealthy if done regulary.
